People often bury their head in the sand. Usually there are two ways to do this: the first is to live with illusions and fantasies, and the second, on the contrary, to live with expectations of disaster. Both of them distort a reality, some embellish it, others dramatize it. So, about these latest ones I would like to talk.

Such people very like to spread a darkest and most ridiculous rumors. Whatever happens in the world, everything leads to auniversal catastrophe.

It would seem, so what’s the matter? After all, we believe that sooner or later, the earthly history will come to its end and after many disasters and cataclysms, including the appearance of the antichrist and the last persecution of the Church, the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will happen.

But the dramatists have no hope for the coming of the Lord. They live precisely by disasters and misfortunes. From the smallest to the largest ones. Somewhere there was an ATM failure – this is a sign of the collapse of the most popular banks, or even of the entire banking system. We badly need to transfer money from cards to cash! Somewhere the dollar exchange rate has risen – that's all! The national currency has come to an end, we urgently need to buy dollars. Quarantine is announced — we need to run to the store for buckwheat and hygiene products immediately. And so on and so forth.

And, true to form, such people cannot outlast their panic fears alone – they certainly need viewers and listeners. And, the more such fears the alarmist infects others, the more comfortable he feels.

And the saddest thing is that there are more and more such dramatic alarmists. Fear is very contagious. And it’s very dangerous.

Many people from the constant expectation of fear have the exacerbation of mental illnesses, or other ailments manifestbeing provoked by psychosomatic disorders (when under the influence of autosuggestion, a physical problems begins to activate in a person). Someone even comes to suicide.

And this is not only the fault of the man himself, who let fear into his soul, and which brought him to the point of extreme despair. The huge blame here lies on those who constantly spread panic, escalate and intimidate themselves and their neighbors.

Is it worth to remind that christians should not behave like this? Yes, we do not expect special benefits from earthly life and we are not deceived by them, but in the same way, we live by trust in our Lord and Savior. Who Alone can protect us from all crises and misfortunes. Only a person of cowardice and little faith can reject God's protection and constantly panic. I will say more – such a person cannot be called a believer, because if he believes more in fear than in God, how can this be called?
